ENGLISH FOR SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES (ESOL) STUDENTS
The most energetic group of students on campus are often found in our ESOL classrooms! Students come from all over the world, speaking dozens of languages and dialects. Students begin by learning survival and conversational English, and as they advance, they begin to master their newly acquired language. This means safer communities, better employment and increased educational opportunities as they gain new skills.
Rock It Out Theater (RIOT)
For ages 8 to 18, RIOT offers the opportunity for youth to learn and develop literacy skills through their interest in both performing and visual arts. Created, produced and operated by parents and volunteers.
Spark Summer Camps
Activities and games that help participating youth gain new math and reading skills, through practical hands on experiences! Youth won’t always know they are learning, recognizing it later in their academic careers when they have the confidence to perform when it matters. Additional skills learned will also include teamwork, conflict resolution, presentation and leadership. Academic subjects will include science, art, engineering and facilitation.
