SUPPORT.

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT

To create the best learning experience possible, KANSEL is working to identify improvements to its campus. Plans include updating current facilities, a community center, and a new outdoor learning environment. Aligning our campus and programs will continue to increase student engagement and create new experiential learning opportunities.

Please consider making a gift to KANSEL on our Giving page.

KANSEL Support Classroom Improvements

CLASSROOM IMPROVEMENTS

Foundational learning happens in our classrooms. We are looking to clean them up and make them as user friendly for our staff and students as possible. Updates to our facility include:

  • Paint
  • Flooring
  • Technology
  • Tables
  • Chairs
  • Windows (67)

Most classroom furniture has been in use for 15 years and needs replaced.

KANSEL Support Community Center

COMMUNITY CENTER

A former sanctuary space is being converted into a versatile space to host events, graduations, learning activities and large workshops. Its purpose is to engage the community and bring them into our facility.

  • Paint
  • Flooring
  • Lighting
  • Technology
  • Audio/Visual Equipment
  • Tables
  • Chairs
  • Décor
  • Windows (10)

Working with Decorating and Planning volunteers to build final plans. KANSEL’s Community Center will become a all-season facility for the Historic Mid-Town and Nomar districts.

KANSEL Support Campus Grounds

CAMPUS GROUNDS

Creating an outdoor learning experience will provide youth located at the urban core an opportunity to learn about sustainability, self-reliance, healthy choices, care for others and the symbiotic relationship we have with our community and natural resources. Our outdoor learning environment will include:

  • Beehive Program
  • Community Garden
  • GaGa Ball Pit
  • Outdoor Classroom
  • Tree Carvings (3)
  • Chalkboard with Mural
  • Art Materials
  • Windows (10)

Above includes examples of these projects done by local artists to the right where these two projects would be located.
